Stake Poker: Formats, Fees and Source Limits

A source-led look at Stake's multiplayer poker formats, how its card-room charges differ, and what its global terms and dated licence record establish.

Public-source review: . Not a client, account, payment or eligibility test.

What this guide covers

Stake logoBrand identification, not an endorsement.

Stake publishes a player-versus-player poker product alongside its casino and sportsbook. Its public description is useful for identifying game types, not for measuring today's available seats or table experience.

This guide concerns the global stake.com service. We did not enter an account, inspect its live lobby, play, test a payment or establish anyone's eligibility. Regional Stake products should not inherit the global site's poker, rules or licence claims.

The product in brief

A document-based summary, not a live service check. On a narrow screen, scroll within the table; keyboard users can focus it and use the arrow keys.

Stake: documented features and evidence limits
TopicWhat the sources establish
Poker modelMultiplayer room, distinct from casino poker played against a house or dealer. Sources: Stake — Poker product page.
FormatsThe published menu spans conventional variants, restricted-action play and fast fold; cash and tournament structures differ. Sources: Stake — Poker product page.
Published chargesThe indexed card-room rules separate cash-pot rake and caps, tournament entry fees, and format-specific charges. The English rules URL redirected during this review, so no numeric schedule is reproduced. Sources: Stake — Card Room Rules (localized official page).
Global operatorStake's terms name Medium Rare N.V. and licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. The Curaçao regulator's June 2026 register matches the entity and number but labels its status ‘Assessment in progress’ at that date. Sources: Stake — global Terms of Service; Curaçao Gaming Authority — OGL register (22 June 2026).

The poker decisions hidden by a single game label

In Hold'em, two private cards can be combined with the board; in Stake's Omaha variants, a hand must use exactly two private cards and three board cards. Extra Omaha hole cards therefore create more starting combinations, not a free choice of any five cards. Pineapple begins with three private cards and discards one before the turn.

Next! moves a folded player to a new hand rather than waiting for the old table to finish. All-in or Fold compresses each decision to one of two actions. Those are meaningfully different rhythms from a regular ring game; a tournament adds a blind schedule, payout structure and possible bounty conditions. These descriptions are product rules, not a dated observation of open tables.

Read the charge for the precise format

A pot-rake percentage alone cannot price a cash game: a cap, stakes and player count can change the actual charge. The indexed card-room rules show different treatment for ordinary Hold'em or Omaha, Next! and All-in or Fold, while tournaments use an entry fee. A jackpot-labelled feature is not necessarily cost-free. Compare the applicable rule and lobby terms together, rather than subtracting a rewards headline from a rake headline.

The English card-room URL redirected our research request to Stake's Italian site. Search-indexed official rules supplied the structural comparison, but we have not verified a current English numeric tariff or observed deductions at a table.

Global terms and licence: two different checks

The global terms identify Medium Rare N.V. and state country restrictions, including Iran, Brazil, the United Kingdom and United States. A regional website, language setting or visible game listing is not evidence that the global terms permit use. We do not assess any reader's legal position.

The regulator's dated register is stronger identity evidence than a publisher footer alone. It is not a September status check or evidence of a particular regional site's authority.

Common questions

Is Stake Poker a peer-to-peer room?

Yes, that is the publisher's description. We did not test its live lobby or player pool.

Does a published rake percentage tell me the full cost?

No. Match the exact format with its cap, player-count conditions, tournament fee and any feature charge. This review did not verify a current numeric tariff at a live table.

Is the Curaçao licence confirmed current?

No. The cited regulator snapshot is dated 22 June 2026; we have not confirmed a later status.
